Eastern Blue Tongues

 UPDATED: January 2024

Eastern Blue Tongue Skinks

(Tiliqua scincoides scincoides)

These are, in our opinion, THE best pet blue tongue skink reasonably available in the United States [video link] because they are hardy, gentle, and long lived. All our Easterns are 100% pure ethically acquired Tiliqua scincoides scincoides, and the vast majority are from New Zealand zoo stock bloodlines. They are completely unrelated to the rest of the Easterns in the US, Canada, and Europe!

Eastern Blue Tongues are the most common pet lizard in Australia for great reason, yet sadly they are quite rare among US keepers due to exportation laws dating back to the 1980's. Today there are only a handful of Eastern breeders in North America, Europe, New Zealand and Asia in general. Easterns do well at typical US household humidity levels, they are generally very calm and handleable and they are quite simple to maintain.

Below are a few of our Eastern Blue Tongue Skinks and details about each animal.
We are not breeding Eastern Blue Tongues for the 2024 season
